After much anticipation, Blast has finally released their highly awaited airdrop, promising to be a monumental one in the crypto industry! 17 Billion Blast tokens (the equivalent of 17% of their value) have been distributed today for Phase One.
What is Blast
Blast is a layer-2, EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) that focuses on providing innovative solutions for the crypto community. Their services include but are not limited to staking and yield farming for Ether (ETH) and stablecoins. With their fast-growing success and the enthusiasm of their airdrop, they rapidly joined the top 5 of the largest Ethereum layer-2 networks, now ranking 4th.
Phase One of Their Airdrop
As mentioned above, for their Phase One, 17% of their value has been distributed out of a total of 50%. The remaining 33% is said to be distributed later on in other phases. This is how the 17% breaks down:
- 7% went to users of the protocol who bridged either ETH or USDB
- 7% went to Blast Gold holders
- 3% went to the Blur Foundation for future airdrops
Not only users will earn Blast points but also Blast Gold and Native Yield for those who are eligible.
Who is Eligible
Any users who used their protocol and held Ether (ETH) or any stablecoins on their platform from February when the protocol launched should be eligible.
Users who also sent friends invites were entitled to more points when their friends used the protocol.
You can check your eligibility on their platform in the ‘Airdrop’ section. You will be asked to connect your wallet along with your invite code to claim your airdrop.
How to Claim
To claim your reward, go to their platform, enter your invite code as seen above, or log in with your wallet then click on ‘claim airdrop’. You will then be prompted to watch a video about Blast then the number of tokens you will be eligible for will appear.
After that, you will be invited to complete just a couple more steps to claim your rewards.
There are 30 days to claim your reward, so make sure not to miss out.
